Why use personality tests?

Personality tests can be used for various reasons. Often, they are used as part of recruitment
processes, because you want to know the personal profile of the candidate, including strong
competencies and potential areas of development.

Personality tests are often underestimated when it comes to internal recruitment and personal
development, e.g. promotion to a leadership position. In this case, a personality test can support
the choice of an internal candidate – or the opposite! The classical situation, where you try to
transform a very competent specialist to a manager, often ends with the loss of a qualified
specialist and an average or poor manager. In this case, a personality test could highlight areas
where support and training could be needed and developed or if the internal candidate should remain a specialist.

I carry out the personality test called PTP for the company/organization who does recruitment
without external assistance, but still wants to secure a match at a personal level.
And also in cases of internal recruitment and for the use of personal development, promotion or
team development.
